Thumbs up Work on the interior

Install the visors, headliner, carpet, and bolt in the new Bonneville bucket seats. And maybe replace the stereo in the other truck. Kerry

Yardwork planned for today (saturday), I have a tendency to let the grass go too long sometimes in favor of more fun jobs.

Later this afternoon probably more sanding and body work on my 68, thats one of those fun jobs! hehe

I plan to change the intake, carburator and valve covers. It's a big job for me considering that I have to do all other things around the house too.

What's Planned for the weekend?

Started my thanksgiving long weekend early and dropped the engine and tranny in the burb this morning. Got four more days and hope to have it running by tuesday.

What's everybody else planning?

Cool engine.

I have to set all of my floor tile in my bathroom I spent all week cutting. It's all laid out dry right now. Gotta number the pieces and put them in bags tonight. Tomorrow I break out the thinset...

On britney I should have the front side of the windshield finished by saturday midday and maybe finish the back side. Then sunday I can start cutting in the floors and go to town on that SOB.

I'd like to:
  • Get a console from da-burb and install it
  • Get some other miscellaneous parts from da-burb and install them, too
  • Fix ALL of my instrument lighting
  • Fix the damn cigarette lighter (again)
  • Set the choke
  • Finish the fab work on my air cleaner adapter
  • Clean out the bed (winter's on its way)
  • Clean the wheels
  • Replace my under-dash duct work
  • See about getting my TH400 kickdown working
Mostly piddle and play stuff, but I'm sure to break something bigger along the way.

Covered Bridge Festival in Parke County, Indiana

My girlfriend and I go over there every year. The leaves are turning now and the hills are beautiful. I think there are 20+ bridges to go and see not to mention all of the crafts and goodies at the different stops.
It from 10/8 to 10/17.

GMC Paul's Shop is right there too! I may have to trick my girlfriend into stopping there. Ha!
We're not going to be able to take any of the truck since we're also going with another couple.

Today I took my cab back off the frame, and set it on a nifty cart I yanked out of a dumpster at work. Just had to cut some 2x4 to hold the cab up, and it works great.

And here's a short video showing how easy it rolls around:

Clicky

I think that's good for one day :p

Did alot of powdercoating today(Saturday). Decided to put the core support in, and once I saw that decided to make the truck look like something and put the fenders on. I probably not use the fenders that came with the truck, they're pretty rough. I think I'll use the new set I bought for my wife's truck, don't tell her though.
