i am getting some 20" centerlines and they are 20x8.5 with a 5" backspace, now my 72 has a 5/7 drop, does that backspacing sound good?

should work fine.

These are 8 inch wide with 5 inch backspacing. No problems. The wheels could be a 9 inch wide with 5 inch backspacing if you wanted. There's plenty of room.
