Tahoe was wrecked bad, belts had been cut or I would have used them. I tried to use everything I could.

I just got through looking at some from a 99 Tahoe and at first glance, I think that they will work. You will just have to use the belts and the receptacles from the donor vehicle.
I am changing my interior color from light blue to gray. I have everything but the seat belts. It has been almost impossible to find a good set of gray seatbelts for an 85 Chevy truck. |

Check on Ebay. I see seat belts on there all the time. Of course I never see the "correct" seat belts for my 77, but I do see them....

I have a friend running belts from a 90's ford aerostar. They work and look pretty good in there too.

On the 82, I have a set of belts from a 93 C1500 extended cab. They bolt right into the stock mounts. I found that with our 73-87 cabs, the belts from a standard cab 88-98 won't bolt right in, however the extended cab has a slimmer/and different mounting position that works great for these trucks. Make sure you keep the top bolt or get a good grade 8 bolt for the shoulder harness mount. The stock ones shaft is too thick for the newer truck belt mounts.

I didnt like how the stock belts rubbed on my neck so I didnt wear them.
Its stupid not to wear seat belts so I bought some lap only belts to get me by till I get something with adjustable shoulder belt. Also my seat and seat belt nuts are stripped so i drilled out the seat belt nuts and put new nuts under the cab. Of course shoulder belts are better then lap belts, but lap belts are better then nothing. I couldnt find a pic with the seat installed. Here is a picture of what I have currently.
