T-8 bulbs in a T-12 fixture?
Long story how I ended up with this deal but I have a 4 flourescent fixture rated for T-12 bulbs, which I do have bulbs for. But I also have a set of T-8 bulbs just sitting. Will it hurt anything to put the T-8s in the T-12 fixture?
I know this off topic but I also know you guys would know if anyone would. Thanks much. |

According to this, it's OK:
http://www.p2000.umich.edu/energy_conservation/ec9.htm but another source says the ballasts are different: http://www.progress-energy.com/custs...y/LIGHT012.asp |

I've used them in my wood shop with no-problem at all. And they've been in there over two years now. Also you will notice a real savings on your elec. bill.
