BBC in a 4wd
I want to take the 454 out of my 89 and put it in my 62 4wd Suburban. From what I hear, you can't get the motor mount anymore. I have the single saddle style mount. I pretty much have all the parts I need to do the swap, and really want to get it going, and this is biggest hold up. Does anybody have or know where I can get this mount, or know a way to put it in without breaking the bankfor custom mounts, or major fab work??

Have you looked at LMC or Classic Industries for the motor mount? Big block wasnt around in 62 so the closests you will get is a small block mount. Also, the 73-87 trucks motor mount crossmember can easily be removed and I would bet it's a close fit to your 62 frame. If not some minor fab work could make it fit. This way you can get motor mounts from any autoparts store. On the 73-87's, small block and big block mounts are the same.
