Been thinking about selling the 72....
Well Hello all...
I have been thinking about selling my 72.....I'm not sold on the idea just yet. But I'am Moving to GA from Colo. I have my 71 3/4 GMC and I'm happy with it but trying to move two trucks 1757 miles can be a pain. So I have give some thought to selling. What I have is 72 K5 with a 400/350/205 the Floors have been replaced as well as the left rear bed side. It runs real good I have not done much to it after I got it. just the maintance stuff. I thought about asking 4000.00 I know thats High. But you need to start some place right? So any imput will be welcome and any questions will be answered Thanks all Cethern

Looks decent. Is there rust? or rust repairs done.. I think you should be able to get $3000 for it.. but you should show the damage and rust in the pics, that will help!

No more rust that I can think of. The K5 is in Colorado Springs right now at a buddys house I'm up here in Denver and I won't get down there till next weekend.
The things I can think of right now is it needs a new top or the back zippers need to be replaced. It is a A/C cab. The truck was real stright untill the PO hit something in the front there some bent stuff up front but not real bad. The dash is uncut. Whom ever did the body repair didn't do a great job. It has power brakes and Steering. Thanks for the imput DMNCLNR

I don't see why you couldn't just tow your blazer out to GA with your 71 3/4 truck.

With an impact like the one on the front bumper, I would assume that the frame rails are a bit closer together. It needs a top to get a good price. Just my opinion, with a soft tom and toasted bumper, its worth a quick $2k unless it looks better in person than in the pictures. Im looking for one but that is beyond my budget for a fixer. Just my 2 cents and not to be taken as a flame.

Looks like $4K is a decent deal, but you should take badturbo's suggestion and tow it with your 3/4 ton.

Bumper
Well Bad Turbo if I wasn't planning on two a 6x12 Trailer with the GMC I would I don't think I can get all my junk in both to tow Blue. I have given it some thought.
As for the bumper the best I can tell someone hit one of those Yellow poles the front frame looks fine if I don't work this weekend I'll get pic of them if anyone wants. it did push the right front fender back a little. The door works great on that side the drivers door is hard to close and open. I think it's just a adjustment but I'm not a body guy. For what is wrong with Blue. I still feel it's a good deal over all. I wish it had a better top but right now money is going to other areas I have looked for a hard top but those a getting hard to find. treyvette17 ..If were to work it out that I could get Blue that far I'd take it rest of the way..lol Cethern
