Saved one from the crusher.

This one was on death row until i got wind of it. 72 with rust in ALL the usual places. Not much for options, V-8/auto is about it. (engine is gone) Guess it will live to see another day in my private "stash". Important thing is, it got saved.

You're a good man! Will you try to revive it soon or just keep it for later?

You're a good person.

Whats the plan? You can rebuild that.......heck you can rebuild anything with a little sheetmetal, couple of donors trucks, and a welder.

Good luck :p

Is there any evidence that the tailgate letters were ever painted white?

Im afraid it will be a parts rig as there is no title for it. Hasn't been titled for the last 2 owners. It was a plow rig for a number of years before the junkman got it.
Gee Emm, i will look over the tailgate tomorrow to see if there is paint. Everything appears to be original yet besides the engine. The original engine was laying next to it, but was a 307 and laying in the mud for who knows how long and why it was pulled.

I just moved to WI in May from TN, and I don't have a clue about where Plum City is. Where is it near?

Have you tried using a title service? I've used Broadway Title Co. out of Birmingham AL. For about $150, you esentually "sell" them the vehicle without a title. In Alabama you don't need a title to transfer ownership. What they do is take the bill of sale you give them and get registration to the vehicle in Alabama. Then they "sell" the vehicle to you with all the paperwork necessary to get the vehicle titled in your state.

I think it is between red wing and lacrosse?
That is good info on the title thing, but this may be a parts rig if i ever get around to my 70 blazer...

If you don't mind me asking, what did you have to pay to save that blazer? We don't have too many good junkyards out here and you would never find an old blazer in one.

It wasn't actually in a junkyard, it was at a guys place who recycled metal. (copper, brass aluminum etc...) so i paid a little better than crushing price. I know of a couple other blazers in yards up here, but the guy doesn't want to sell anything off them.
