I can only say homie was on some sht when he thought up that idea. It seems crack doesn't kill.I'm refering to thing number 1. Not the yellow truck.

The sad part of it is the person selling that chopped up truck has a fair amount of time invested in it. Are we supposed to be impressed with that picture of the reciepts???

IMO that thing is worth little more than the value of the NAPPA crate 350.

Thing #1...what can we say, too much damage done, might be decent fenders and an engine/tranny.

I wonder how he can call thing #2 (the yellow one) a 71....it has a 69/70 cab, a 67 fromt clip, a fugly miss matched bed, a state issued VIN...which may not float in other states. And advertising it as a 69,000 mile truck?

At least thing #2 has some potential. Looks like thing #1 suffered a long, painful death.

Man you guys are good! Able to tell what year model cab a truck has! And I always thought all 67-72 cabs were the same. I hope someday I'm as knowledgable as you all.

I kinda like both trucks (no I don't smoke crack). I don't hold it against the guy with the yellow truck to use various year body parts, but I see where the state issued VIN might be an issue.

What is so bad about the first truck?

it's a state issued VIN, they can issue abc123456 if they wanted, but ion reality, the cab is probably off an inline powered 4X4.

I have no problems with it either, however, don't advertise it as something it isn't.

What's so rare about it?
How can he justify the mileage claim?
Just too many things wrong with the claim verses the vehicle IMO. Plus, there is some poor sap out there that is going to buy it and swear that the 71 chevy has no marker lights and has that grill...ect Ad I hate to see ppl misled on a sale.

I'm sure the KS is for the Kansas issued VIN. Funny though how i mimics the Chevy pattern and could be miscontrued for a 4wd, six cylinder VIN.

Yeah the second truck looks like he cut out the rear cab/front bed sections and started merging them....at least he did it with a rather plentiful truck cab and not did such a mess to a 2WD blazer....

The first one, with the exception of the missing top bar for the windshield, has a lot of potential. I was asking on the Blazer board about latching a blazer top because I would like to make a hard top convertible 72 pickup for a next project. Sure hope you guys aren't this critical of me when I decide to fire up the welder. It just shows you that everyones tastes are different and some people might actually put some creativity into build something unique
Lighten up

Are you implying these trucks are disfigured? Tisk, Tisk

Actually, much like the green hair, the builders of these trucks are looking for attention. After all, of all the trucks on ebay, very few are singled out on this board for ANY reason. So in reality, the goal has been achieved.

Now attention can be positive or negative, but when you do something radical its to be expected you'll get some of both. As long as the negativity is not mean-spirited or demeaning, then "who cares?".

I'm sure the sellers don't mind the added exposure either. Just like the green haired kid's mother, there's someone out there that will love these trucks too.

So lighten up, it's all pretty harmless "water cooler" chat.

i too, dont mind either one. i like the fact they dont look like stockers. nothing against stock, but i appreciate the creativity that others show with their rides. how boring would it be if we all drove factory original trucks? say goodby to engine swaps, custom interiors, custom wheels....etc. at least their not imports!

personally if i bought the first one id have to strip it and start over. if your gonna go that far at least go through the suspension and frame and dont have overspray all over engine compartment like you painted a new crate motor with it in place. like you said he can do what he want since he owns it but that dont mean we have to say it looks awesome. even the rear fenderwells look rigged to me at least could have made them 3 pieces instead of having a bunch of patches welded together like afterthought. if its so great how come no bids at 500.00? overall id say its probably worth the 500.00 if that makes you guys feel better i still say its a piece Cr@p. ok now i got to get back to the tragedys in my life cya
