Thumbs up HEAD COUNT: 69 Blazer only please

Please pm me if you have a 69 blazer(not 70,71,72). There were 4935 mfg, and I believe that many died of rust, accidents, crusher etc. Please pm me if you have one, or know of one. Also note city and state. THANKS!

Please put "69 blazer" in pm subject line so I can keep track. If you have already responded to my head count at CK5.com, then no need to raise your hand here too. I plan on posted a thread with a the count findings(it will be a continous work in progress.

thanks

Thanks!

HEy get this paul..... I was getting on Dry creek Road today....and had to bust a right onto 101 NORTH and CHACE after the CLEANEST blazer i've seen in person to date, let alone in healdsburg! He didnt pull off at the next exit, but as we were mobbin side by side (good feeling, we were phsyced) we managed to say what years they were. 'Found out his was a " SIXTY NINE MAN, HOW BOUT YOURS" .... Then somebody got on me and i had to pull ahead. He went up the on ramp slow, i think he's got to have an orig. or atleast re-built V8. The entire time i was passing him he seemed to be checking out my badges, me must have been making sure it said 350 cuz i was blowwin his doors off. Has to be be orig. paint, or re-painted orig. Dont know the paint code but its that light blue.... white top with DARK tint windows......also had very orig. looking narrow wheels. SOO clean...

- I'v seen him before in town ' bout a month ago and we made eye contact, however that time i was in my girls jeep. Now he's seen mine I imagine he's local, but i think north of here. Guyserville or Cloverdale? I'll try and find out more and or stop him next time i see him.

NOT this blazer, but this color

10K!! Geez, should be in excellent shape for that. I have my "new" engine running great now, just need to freshen up the brake pads, lines and fluid to ensure I don't kill myself or anyone else! Truck sat in storage from 1997 till july of this summer when I bought it.

'cant wait till its done jakeslim, should be more then fun for ya! As far as that guys i was talking about, its not even orig. paint. You could see on the drivers rear bedside where the paint was starting to fracture i guess....body work underneath. So its had work, but who knows how much. Orig. drivetrain and engine though. The interior is real nice. He thought it was a big deal to have orig AC, but it's dealer installed so...eh. His glove box sticker was in super shape. Now it seems i'm seing him a bit more, maye he's driving it more.... i'll try and snap a shot if I can some time.

Mine was made in September of 69 but sold as a 70. Does that count, lol. Seriously though originally it had the closed knuckle front end which I believe 69 was the last year of. Also it has the 69 inner grill and not the later 70 style. BTW these are some older pics. It now sports a DANA 60 front axle, crossover steering, taller front lift springs, for the rear I did the shackle reversal, zero rate, and lifted spring, it now rolls on 38x15.50x16 swampers with 10" aluminum rims. In the pick it's sporting a 4" rancho, 3" body and 36x14.50x16.5 swampers

Sorry Leroy. I'm sure there were alot of 70 k5's mfg'd in back half of 69 but that would "clould" the original GM count of 4935 produced "officially" as 69.

Based on the counts I've received so far, my guess is that 69 k5 are a rare breed. More to come on that as the headcount conitinues.

If anyone knows of one, or has a friend that owns one, please post up here or on CK5.com

later,
jakeslim
