Radiator Question????
I'm trying to replace my '71 Blazer radiator. I'm looking for a 4-core/auto application. My original radiator has a heater hose fitting on the passenger side tank. Is this correct/original? My "auto parts" replacement did not. I want the original type,... so just trying to verify that the hose connection is correct. Also,... where can I purchase a "made in the USA" radiator? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks,...lolife99.

Anyone have any factory/restored under hood pics? I just want to see the original routing of the heater hoses.

I ordered my 4 core from Radiator.com. I'm super happy with it, at 150 delivered via next day air total. When ordering, they asked me if I wanted the heater hose outlet on the tank or not. By the way, it's a Modine unit, so it's good quality.

Thanks,Tx Firefighter,... Do you have any engine pics of your old blue and white truck? I would still like to have a stock '71-72 under hood pic. Thanks, again,...lolife99.

Here's the pics.
Keep a couple of things in mind though. 1) I took these pictures like 2 years after I sold it. The new owner let it set outside in the weather with no hood for over a year. 2) No engine of mine will ever, ever, ever look this bad. I don't do ugly engines. Just ask anyone who's seen my trucks in person. First thing I'll do is pull it, reseal it, repaint it, and detail it till it is perfect. This level of slovenliness is not mine. 3) I used Corvette alternator brackets because they were way cheaper than 72 truck brackets. They interchange directly, but the Vette lower bracket is aluminum (He's painted it some kind of spray paint grey or something. Under the paint, it was nice aluminum). 4) When I sold it, it had a fan shroud. The shroud must have had some kind of trauma in the ensuing time that caused him to pull it off the truck. 5) The rusty bare metal water pump makes me ill. 6) The engine was actually Chevy sandalwood metalic basecoat/ clearcoat urethane with powdercoated intake and valve covers. A year of ugly weather hitting it made it go all to poop. Regards, Kevin

Like mama always said, never judge a fireman by a truck he sold long ago. Here's my 454 when I put it in last summer. Much better than that toilet above.

Some people just don't have respect when they don't do all that detail work to make an engine look good....
