I have a '88 k1500 and the front diff will not engage.
There is no power going to the actuator and I was wondering if there is a switch on the transfer case or somewhere else that is activated when shifted into 4X4 to then activate the acuator on the differential. I checked the fuse as I beleive that the acutator is on the same fuse as the heater/ac in the fuse box. I am completely confused on what it could be. Help please!!!!!!! Thanks |

The switch that supplies power to the front axle actuator screws into the transfer case above where the shift linkage connects to the transfer case.
I think you are correct that the heater/ac fuse is the fuse that suplies power for that circuit. Also check ground side of the actuator circuit. ChevyTech Last edited by ChevyTech; 10-25-2004 at 01:03 PM. |
