wanted: aluminum vortech heads

hey,
i'm looking for a set of aluminum vortech heads for a sb 350. would someone have a rebuildable set i could purchase?

They never came on anything! They are called fastburn heads and they are pretty expensive! I doubt you will find them used!

10.39 1/4 @ 125.83

Nitrous Times:
5.785 1/8 @ 118.65 with a 1.336 60ft
9.168 1/4 @ 142.58 with a 250 shot dead out of the hole!

they came on 92-96 vettes and 93-97 camaros and firebirds, search ebay. you can usually find a pair for 500 bucks

I don`t think those were Vortecs. Those are off of LT1 reverse cooled motors. I don`t have any experience with those heads or how/if they work on earlier motors.

i have a set of Vortecs . they came off a 96 motor . heres the casting 10239906.. u can go to www.motech.com and cheack what i'm saying. i'll let them go for 300.00 +shipping .. went with another set of heads and don't need them any more .

Kevin... what kind of shape are they in? Need rebuilding? Estimated miles on them?

i was told abvout 3000 u know how that goes . i always rebuild . let me know scoti . i will be in dallas this weeken. to meet with 5-8 to get his hood .

906

10239906 or '906 heads are iron, not aluminum.

also they don't flow (the 906 head) as goood as the "L31 heads " whos part # is 12558060. The Aluminum heads are either the L98 head part #12556463 which has a 58cc chamber w/ 170cc intake port They came on 87-91 corvette w/TPI.And then theirs the BIG dollar ones the fast burn head part #12464298 their chamber size is 62cc w/210cc intake port

I believe that is a mis statement. At one time chevy hi perfromance stated that..but then recanted in the following issue.
