Wheelin' in Il

My Brother lives in Westmont Il and we were wondering if there was any where to wheel around there that was worth the trip?? Any suggestions would be appreciated. It won't be until spring more than likely. it will be fine if it is a little ways away too. Thanks for your input.

Check out the Badlands in Attica. All kinds of trails on 900-1000 acres. Jason.

What are you wheeling? there is a park in Marseilles, IL called Cliffs Insane Terrain. Been there once, had some cool trails, but a full size will definitely get body damage on the harder trails, don't know for sure on the easy trails. I put some new dents in the jeep when I went. They do have a wheel base limit (110" and under).

there is also a park in Rockport, IL. Haven't been there but have heard it's pretty cool.

Just to clarify, the badlands are in attica, Indiania. I have been there with my atv (yamaha banshee) and had a great time. I also saw quite a few jeeps and trucks too.

Agreed, Badlands is a great place to wheel. I wheel there several times a year (I'm only about an hour and a half away). Great trails, rocks, mud, sand, you name it.

Justin, are you sure the Cliffs is 110" wheelbase? i was thinking it was 100" even. anywho, my bushings i ordered from Tim should be here tomorrow. plans are to put them in, then install the 60... monypit, maybe you'd be up to join us on one of the runs we make, just be aware that very few of the guys that i've met up with down there, and on the boards where those members are from, are afraid of body damage.

I'm not afraid of it I just try to avoid it at all costs. (Paint was definately the worst mod I made to this so far)

Just double checked it is 110". If you don't want body damage, don't go to Cliff's right now, I guarantee you will get alot of damage.

You could run alot of trails at the badlands without getting body damage if you are careful. Just avoid the orange, a blazer is almost guaranteed to get damage.

Jeremy - is this truck going to be ready for next spring?

got the bushings today, need to come up with some spacers (daystar guy gave Tim the wrong dimensions) for my front hanger, and some longer bolts for the front (my fault) and the 52s will be in place. then the 60 goes under... 305 in, the trans and case i got from you, front clip back on, pretty much its down to tires/wheels, a front shaft, and a few other misc things and it will be ready.

Yeah, I ran altered stock. Trailered mine in, no plates. I used to run a brown 3/4 ton. My brother also ran there several times in altered stock in an orange 1/2 ton shortbed.

I keep thinking of taking my jeep down there just for the hell of it.

Cool, that would be another park fairly close to me. If anyone has any more info on this new park, please post it up
