Whats a tailgate wedge?

what is a tailgate wedge, and do you need a pair?

Do you have a single "tailgate wedge" that you could take a picture of?I have never heard of one but that doesn't mean anything.How have you come up with this term?

no i knew that you needed 2, i was just saying do i need some? i found them on chevyduty.com. i have never seen them before either.

dont those hook on to the tail gate and stab into the end of the bed??? kinda like the yellow thing in the picture only 67-72 not 81

I hate to speculate,and I have never seen anything like this in my tailgate.I do have a couple of guesses.A shim?Anyway you have got my curiosity up and now it is my quest in life to learn the answer

I would venture a guess that it goes at the top of the gate and slide's into the bed side's just my guess...

Are they the things at the top of the tailgate that lines up with the holes in the bed. I think I have them on my tailgate I will take a picture tonight. I know on my truck they where bent out a little and the gate would not come down I bent them in a little and it worked better.
