need hints on monitoring postings..

Newbie here, are as we referred to them in Vietnam, a "FNG" so excuse my ignorance....

are there any hints for keeping up with what is being posted several pages back without scrolling everything every few hours? I have tried the "Search" but found that it is hit and miss...would like to monitor a few postings to get the updates without having to scroll continuously and hope to spot them the first time through. Can anyone give me a short course? thanks FNG bob

If the thread is several pages back then nothing new has been added. It would bump to the front after new postings.
At the top of each thread you an click on the "thread tools" button and the "subscribe to this thread" and it will e-mail you when new posts are made. Hope this is what you were after.

Once you subscribe to a thread or post in it you can go to your Usercp and all the new posts will be listed there.
