Changing over to Power Brakes, do I need different lines???

My truck came with manual disc brakes and I am hooking up the new power booster and Proportion valve....Will I need new pre bent brake lines or will the existing ones fit???

Help from the experts please!

No you dont need new lines. The ones you have will flex enough to pull the MC away from the firewall far enought to get the booster in there without having to disconnect any. Just make sure you have the longer push rod that connects the booster to the pedal and a new vacuum check valve.

Not questioning you chevytruckfan, but I heard that you have to go with the bigger lines ('71/'72 lines) on the front if you go with power brakes. This is, of course, for the guys like me with the '67-'70 trucks. Not sure what year ChevyDude is working with...looking at his signature it looks like either a 71 or 72 which should be fine.

The line will "stretch" just like said above.

There is also a set of brackets and a linkage that goes between the firewall and the booster. You have to have these items also.
