Will the sending unit that is pluged into the side of my block for the stock water temp, work with an after market gauge ? I want to run my phantom gauges in the burb, and was wondering if I could just tap into the stock unit ?

Probably not.

The Phantoms should include a sending unit from Autometer that's combatible with the gauge.
