Fuel Gauge Question ?
My fuel gauge needle moves all over the place, never really knowing how much gas I have. When full, it reads way right of the "full" mark and while driving it wanders. Is this a gauge problem ?
Thanks, Bret |

on my truck it was a guage problem. Switched out the fuel gauge and no more problem. Others will tell you sending unit. Guage is easier to swap than sending unit and easier to pickup an extra cluster cheaply. Just my $.02

But first, i would trace the brown wire that is on the sending unit all the way to the fuse box. Make sure it isn't grounding out somewhere.
