Unhappy knock knock GMC update

nope, not a stupid joke...but rather the loud sound coming from the bottom of my 305.
Loud enough to be heard over the open headers.
Still have to double check and make sure it isn't the converter bolts...but I highly doubt it's loose bolts.

I thought I'd end the day today with a smile and a

Maybe not loose converter bolts - years ago when mine had a loud knocking, it was a cracked flex plate... good luck.

nope, the flex plate is fine. (removed from the 350 I just pulled)
When you fire it, the oil guage shows 60 psi. I was happy as a puppy with 2 peck...I'll let you finish that sentence.
Anyways. Once it warms up, the guage drops to about 10 - 15 ish and the knocking starts. I drained the oil and replaced the filter, wondering if there might be contamination in the oil or something... it came out with quite a bit of glitter in it.
Oh well...I'm only in it 100 bucks or so, and 2 weekends of being so carefull and making everything nice and pretty.

Hey Andy, if you want to go through the labor again I have a 305 shortblock I will give you.........
It is of no use to me. Or I will give you a deal on the 230 I6 that is in my '66 Chevelle. You can hear it run anytime.

Longhair, thanks for the offer, but it would in fact be more than just labor, the hassle with my boss, the cash for gaskets and what not, ect ect ect...I was into this one for 125 bucks. (I just added it all up) and that was with a free longblock. (actually, complete motor minus intake/carb/dist, and valve covers) I don't have 125 bucks to do it all over again, and I am just doing this to sell it. In reality, it isn't worth much more running then it is not running. (reality sucks)

Well, I still haven't done the write up yet. I have about 75 to 100 pics that I took, need to sort it all out and all that good crap.
68C15...thanks...but no thanks. I really do apreciate it, but I'm done with this one. Too many favors at work, more vehicles than parking spots, more things I need to do before the snow blows than I can ever really get done...ect.

It is for sale, and needs to be gone with the quickness.

If you feel you must help...send Josh some board money. put it in my name, put it in your name....put it in both of our names.
Thanks though.
