15 x 10 wheel in a 68 rerarend?
Just wondering if anyone knows for sure if a 15x10 wheel with 4 1/4 backspacing will fit in a 68 rearend. The tire size is 275/60/15 and the truck has a 4/6 drop. I am pretty sure it will but not certain.
Thanks Bowtiefreak

67chevemall, How much back space on those 15x11's? do you think you could squeeze another inch and go 15x12?

I have 275/60 R15's in the back of my 69, 9.5 inch rim, had the truck loaded down with about 2200 pounds of bricks which made the coils stack up on each other. Not sure what kind of drop that would be, but it was pretty low.

67chevemall, with the 15x11's, are they tucked at all?? does the bed sit over the tires at all, or are the fenderwells still above the tire?? What backspacing are you running?? Did you tub the fenders at all?? Would like to see a side pic, and a pics from the rear of the truck if you have any...that is what I would like to run on mine, or the 15x10's. Thanks in advance!!

Your in luck I just bought a digy camera!YAY!
I'll get on it! The fenders are tubbed 4" so it might not be any good for ya! As for back spacing I still can't fiqure out that blasted animal! I want to order new rims but don't want to f up the back spacing! The ones in my avatar are $1700 w/ rubber! Mine are 4 sale!

No, i don't know what the backspacing is. If it stops raining (tomorow is supposed to be dry-ish) I'll look into it for you.
