I don't think GM made an animal like that back then. it was crew cab looooooooong bed period. Remember these were "WORK TRUCKS" back in the day.

Remember...measure twice, drink 2 beers, and cut once. Or was that drink 4 beers and guess. I always have problems remembering that. I 'll have another beer and think about it.

For what it is worth, I know where there is a 99 2500 Crew cab SWB that is already on it's way to being slammed ( it has spindles/ springs in front with hangers out back) that can be bought fairly reasonable.

Let me know if you want any more info on it. I have looked at the truck in person and can tell you what I think of it.

BTW- it is a 5.7 truck as well with 116K on it. Pewter/ with grey cloth.
priced at $6950 OBO.

See here. It is what your talking about.
It goes to this auction which has closed, but the reserve was not met so you may still have a shot. It is not a dually though...

I was looking at a guy at works truck the other day and noticed that the back seat was almost non-existant. Looking at the pictures of that one on E-bay it looks the same. Not to big of a deal as I won't ever be in the backseat, but it is a little suprising.

It's prob too far for you to even consider, but there is this 86 2500 in Ohio I had found on autotrader. I actually wanna try and get it myself, but haven't had time to call the people up and go look at it. Was thinkin about callin them up this week and findin out if its still for sale, then if it is, makin a trip this weekend. If ya want, I'll get ya some info on it if I go.

1986 Chevrolet 2500, crew cab, runs good, needs transmission, $500

WOW!!! 500$$$ I could come up with the tranny right now for that!!! But in Ohio it must be rusty, right?
To ship a vehicle I was going to pay $980 from Tulsa, OK to Seattle. It is more if the vehicle does not move under it's own power. If you go to traderonline.com on the front page they have links to shippers.

Don't know why I didn't think about this before but the guy at work is getting ready to trade his CC in on a new(er) CC Duramax. He said he would sell his truck, but he wanted more than I would have paid (but I don't remember and I'm a tighta$$ bastard).
1988 2wd CC, TBI 454 - black paint, blue interior, all power options. Not perfect, but not garbage either.
Of course, its here in Seattle, or Machias to be exact. I could get more info if you wanted me to.

FYI, to make the shortbed fit with no problems, the CC you're gonna have to cut it down to a 150" wheelbase.

If you pulled the longbed off could you bolt a short bed to the frame and have 2 foot gap between the bed and the cab or are the mount points in different locations?
