Drop the drums and go disk brakes. 1 ton spindels would only fit a D60 I think. People see 8lug and assume 1ton.

If you do have drums up front w/ open knuckles then somebody swapped in a 1970 3/4 ton dana 44 axle on you. This is a one off year and drums are hard to come by. I bought my front drums for my 70 off of Jerry Moss, used. There was no 1 ton suspension for the 4wds. Though, w/ an H072 in the rear w/ 13" brakes, you could haul quite a bit.

1986 K30, 350/400/205 dana 60 and 14 bolt. I kept the drivetrain. Body/bad and chassis are gone.
1981 K30, 350/465/205 dana 60 and dually 14 bolt. Has a G80, and a flat bed. Going to replace the flat bed.

1985 K20, 350/400/208 10 bolt and SF 14 bolt. I wonder where I can find some 1 tons. Hmmmmm
