Wipers don't park
My wipers on my 69 don't return to the park position. What could be broken, and is the part available?

Measure how far they are from the bottom of the windshield when you turn 'em off. They're supposed to park about 1-2 inches from the windshield weatherstrip. Mine are right at 2.5" from the bottom of the windshield.

Must be a common problem. My 69' does the same thing. I robbed a wiper motor from a donor truck I need to install and see if that takes care of it.

Oh, OK. The only thing I can think of is that the gear that drives the transmission arms might be stripped in one spot.
