6 to 5 lugd swap
hey guys im usually inthe 47-55 or 55-59 message boards, but im looking at a 65 swb stepside pu and was wanted to know if anyone had swapped out the front suspension on a 64-66 w/ a front from a 71-2 or a 73 and up just bye a brief look it had seemed like it mite be a fairly simple bolt on but just want more info before i get to involved w/ this year of a project if i get the chance to buy it right thanx

I took everything from a 75 Chevy Truck and it bolted right on to my 65 crossmember... I used the upper and lower control arms, Center link. Idler arm (that requires redrilling) and a steering box which I suggest getting the Rex Kit for that.. and I even used the sway bar, dont forget to take the monting brackets... You can use a rearend out of a 71 or 72 they bolt right in.. Not everything is a bolt in and some drilling is nessesary... It really isn't that hard and is alot easier if the front sheetmetal is not on the truck...
