Copperhead
GM had Copperhead on display at the SEMA show. It looks real good but sits to high for me.

You mean it's actually finished? I HATE how shows get you so involved in an ongoing project and then don't show you the finished project, then move onto another project. I couldn't care less about the Sargeant Rock project without seeing Copperhead done. I want to hear that 572 roar! Horespower's Nova is another good example. Let's see a full pass on it!

I don't understand why they do this. People who have never even watched the show saw it before we did. All those Saturdays and Sundays afternoons spent waiting for them to finish, almost wasted. They should at least post a mp3 or wav of that 572. Maybe even a MPEG movie of it on a back road.
"Another highlight of the GM Service and Parts Operations presence at SEMA will be a 1967 Chevy C10 short bed fleetside pickup with the GM Performance Parts 620-horsepower, 572-cubic-inch crate engine (ZZ572) and packed with performance and appearance components. Stacey David, producer/host of Trucks! TV on the Spike TV cable network, designed and built the truck and named it "Copperhead" because of its quick-strike capabilities." - http://www.theautochannel.com/news/2...22/260427.html = Me behind the wheel of Copperhead.

I saw it at SEMA also, if it is done they have alot to learn about building trucks
The A/C compressor is mounted upside down and no lines are on it, the body panels a lined up so well they can't shut the hood w/out hitting the fenders, the bed is about 3/4 of an inch to the right and about an inch higher than the cab, the bumpers look like a blind man mounted them (the rear one sticks out about 3 inches from the bed), bondo can be seen where they filled the stake pockets, the exhaust is not completed, any attention to detail has been over looked, the bed wood hasn't been treated, the door gaps are terrible (almost hits in the back and an inch of gap in the front) IMO they threw it together so GM could have it in thier display (it was probably a stipulation made by GM since they sponsored the engine it would be at SEMA). Whoever sprayed and rubbed out the truck did a great job, but whoever put it together needs to go back and try again. |

I can't tell from the pics but it doesn't look like it has that fancy nitrous intake on it that they were making a big deal about.

I guess if I just built mine to show I'd be pissed about the paint to. I'm all about driving mine though. Just like my Harley. Dechrome it, add some flat wrinkle black and line-x to it and drive it (or ride it) like you stole it. I'd rather be running the streets that in the drive-way with my Mother's Car wax and California duster.

Copperhead
LUV2XCLR8 It's pointless to bring a camera to the SEMA show. I used to but not anymore. To many people standing in your way and to much stuff. If I knew Copperhead was going to be there I might have tried to get a picture.

I thought it had big funky ugly roundish squarish exhaust tips coming out of the front lower part of the bed with some hideous thick steel plate around them? I watched like one episode, and after I saw Stacey make those and cut a huge hole in the brand new bedpanels, I wasn't too impressed. That and the constant giggling almost made me scream at the TV so I never watched it again.
The guy that did the paint did a nice job though.
