Fresh air plenum valve in cowl diaphragm P/N
While sealing some minor leaks in the cowl area I found the fresh air plenum valve to be broke off at the shaft from the vacuum diaphragm. I am attempting a JB Weld repair and also found the diaphragm is bad. Does anybody have a P/N for the diaphragm, maybe a Autozone number so I can consolidate with a upcoming mail order I have to make. Also is the plenum valve available anywhere?
Now, I assume this thing opens when you turn the heat on to allow air in? |

You will probably have to get the parts you need from one of the truck vendors as these are fairly specialized items.
Anyway GMC Paul has both parts that you need. (I don't think JB weld will hold the air valve as it sees some force when switching). Here is a link to the page where the parts are listed. Jim http://www.gmcpauls.com/ac_only.htm |

I tried the "JB weld fix" on mine broken in the same place. It held for about 2 weeks. I found another good one and replaced it. I never have much luck at all with JB weld.
