twin gas tanks

I'm looking into installing a set of saddle tanks under my truck. I was wondering did this come stock on any trucks in the 67-72 years? Has anyone done this, is it a difficult conversion?

I only have access thru a computer at work, so any replies, it might take me a day or 2 to get back to you...

Thanks,

Mike

The factory installed optional tanks are so much nicer, with the small chrome cap that matches the cab tank...if you can find a clean/rust free one. The square cutout doors are kind of crude, unless it is just a work truck and you don't care.

PICKEMUP - thanks for the info. This is a DD, that I'm planning on twin tanks, and putting a 14 bolt dual axle under the rear. From there, I'm currently looking at hauling with/for a guy I know here locally. She ain't no beauty queen yet...

WOW, THAT'S RARE, SAW ONE IN THE YARD ON MY SIG LAST WEEK, AND
IT HAD BOTH CAPS STILL ON THEM, AND LOOKED TO BE IN GOOD SHAPE.

LUV2XCLR8 - Are these still around, and the tanks and switch still available?

In general, isn't this the set-up (twin tanks) that was under the camper specials?

Thanks
