Anyone interested in a 66 Chevelle 12 bolt posi?

I have a complete 12 bolt posi rear from a 66 El Camino, which is the same as a Malibu or SS396. It has a 3.23 or 3.31 ratio and is a factory positraction. Has aluminum rear cover and a complete set of traction bars to go along with it. I am asking $200 OBO picked up in NE Alabama or maybe within a reasonable driving distance. I was going to put it in my 83 El Camino but need the money and would take some fabrication to make it work anyway.

Seriously, triple your price and post it for sale over on Chevelles.com

That 12 bolt is worth a fortune. I've seen them go for 1k bucks before.

I would ask more but I only paid $200 for it so I am not going to rip anyone else off. The posi unit will probably need to be rebuilt, its a little weak but they are easy to do and not bad as far as parts prices. I am only selling it since I need the money more than a rear end right now. I will probably go with a Dana 60 for the El Camino when I get the money and time to do it, in like two years once I am out of college. PM's sent to whomever wanted one.

I will be driving from Alabama to Iowa this thanksgiving week and can deliver on the way if anyone lives near interstates 65, 24, 57, and 74. I am in NE alabama and will be going to SE Iowa near the Quad Cities. I am near Huntsville and will be driving through there to 65 north, going through Nashville, Paducah, Kentucky, Champaign, Illinois, Peoria, etc.. I can go close to St. Louis also. I am getting pictures today also and will get the codes off the axle so somebody can make a definate ID of what it came out of and what gear ratio it is.
