What kind of choke was on a 68 sbc with a quadrajet? Also tranny is automatic if that matters.

Thanks

The manual choke had a cable in the cab you could pull in and out. I think it was on the guage cluster. The divorced kind on the manifold were mechanical. The heat would do the work by expanding the coil and then lifted the choke up.

Would the divorced choke lower the rpms of the truck as the engine got hotter? Was that adjustable?

i believe you can adjust the divorced chokes by bending the choke coil rod accordingly .. how low are the rpms dropping ??

You will still need to blip the throttle to release the fast idle once the truck has warmed up some.
