later model wheels

Will Later model chevy wheels ie: 2000-04 fit 68's if the lug and bolt pattern is the same. I am told they won't but was wondering why?

The center hole on the new ones are too small. Besides that, the back spacing isn't ideal for these trucks and IMO would look silly...they'd be tucked in too much.

Back spacing most likely not correct for 68 model. Even if center hole was cut out larger, the front wheels will hit on steering components.

Had no idea they would hit... I'd suspect the rear tires would rub if there was any decent sized tire in there.

You are correct Longhorn Man, the rear does look way silly! I was dumb enough to try this with 16 " 88 rims, enlarged centers with a torch and tried on a 71 4x4. A crazy looking truck you could not steer!
