heat shields in cab
Has anyone tried to install some of the floor heat shield material on the top of your headliner? I've got 80% of my interior put back together except for the headliner, and since the trim is such a pain to un-install I want to do it one time. I thought about installing some of the floor heat shield (aluminum backed stuff) on top of the headliner to help keep the cab cool in those hot months. Just wanted to see if anyone else had the same idea, and if it worked.

Sounds like a great idea to keep the cold out in winter too. Too bad my ol' GMC doesn't have a headliner or I'd insulate that too!

How much does that stuff weigh? If it weighs a lot, I would think that it would eventually make the center of the headliner droop. There does need to be some good insulation up there though!!
