69 SWB GMC for sale ...revisited (a 'lil cheaper)
Reduced price....$500...come and get it, could maybe deliver within 100 miles (that is a maybe) Another 100 bucks will get you the tow bar, safety chains and the tail light harness I made that hooks to a trailer plug on the tow vehicle.
Come and get it in columbus ohio, need a trailer or tow bar. Even though I can fire it up and move it, the headers are open and I'm selling it as not driveable. Please answer w/questions, comments, pic requests...ect, on this thread, not in my PM box or e-mail. You'll get a quicker responce here anyways. Payable w/cash,money order, postal money order...can store here for a short period of time, not very long though. It is dead and parked on the street Selling my short/fleet GMC (chevy front clip) It does run, but knocks like crazy once warmed up. The TH350 bolted up to it was rebuilt in 97 and has maybe 30K on it sence then. Never slipped once, fluid been chainged every year...is leaking a little though. B&M 1900 RPM converter. once piece drive shaft. Hooker comp headers. brand new t-stat housing...o-ring type, Mr Gasket brand. Edelbrock performer intake just cleaned, hand made alluminum block off plates for choke and EGR. edelbrock 750/manual choke carb manual drum brakes in need of help big block engine towers. (dunno why, onless they were also V-6 towers) power steering clutch fan wide belt drive off 87 burb on alt Int reg alt HEI new-ish starter and fuel pump.... New-ish rad...kinda bent, but still works great. rear coils w/3.07 gears ....VERY nice trailing arms. Probably the best you'll find in this part of the country...I think there is maybe a one inch spot where there is rust between the 2 halves...been a while since I looked...when I replaced the U-bolts...but none the less....very nice arms. While those shocks look terrible, They aren't all that old, and feel better than the 8 month old units up front. the straight bumper that I kinda don't want to sell...but it is bolted there right now and I have no place to store it. It is an original '70 bumper, not repro. Minimal damage and wear...as an original used part, I would gove it an 8 or so out of 10. It has mis matched rims..these are the front (notice the tread....dam near new tires up front) rims off a 70's jeep cherokee or something. Rear wheels....old turbines. Matching ones come up from time to time on e-bay...6 lug, 15 X 9.5 ...275/60 tires on the back...this is the drivers side...it still has tread, it is about 3 yrs old. Note the (van) tilt, newer 4 spoke wheel, carpeting (kinda crappy...repro) in dash aftermarket acc guages (all work but the AMP, not hooked up) Nice 6 month old seat cover, over blue stock '70 seat. Seat is in decent shape, a spring or two need work and a cover...out of a 70 CST...so it is a non flip and full foam unit. Chevrolet rubber floor mats, couple soft spots on the floor, but no holes in floor that I am aware of. (You can see some light where kick panels meet the floor though) The bare foot pedal comes off...I'm keeping that. Working heat, working am/fm cassette pull out stereo with no speakers...you can hardly hear the radio anyways. Lots of crap in there that will be pulled out. (stuff on the floor and seat...not talkin parts) Better pic of the seat cover. '70 CST door panels, were blue, dyed black, look almost decent More can be seen on my OLD THREAD |

make a great parts truck for some one in this part of the states...the solid trailing arms and goot TH350 alone are worth the asking price...not to mention a good intak, 750 AFB carb, tilt column, some real good tires, a 3.07 rear...

truck
Anyway to tow it to my palce for extra $? If you were closer, I'd own it. I just don't trust my truck to make the trip (time for a newer one). My truck has some serious gremlins. I just barely made it back from North Carolina. I have to run to Rochester this weekend and I'm nervous enough that I am somehow going to have to load an S-10 with enough parts to fill my normal 8' bed. Should be a fun ride.......

I'd love to take another trip to PA...but my boss wouldn't go for it. YAHOO MAP
He'd be cool with 100 miles or less...and even that would be a rather big favor. If only I could tow with the town car. (Anyone who's heard it run will laugh at that last comment) |

truck
Well, I'll be working on my truck this week. I'll see if I can't get the thing fixed. It's baffling quite a few of us (me and a couple of mechanics). It doesn't seem to be predictable. If not, maybe someone else would like to make some extra $??????

100 bucks will get you the tow bar, the tail light harness, and my safety chain. (the tow bar alone retails for 100 bucks...and it is dang near perfect)
Claim it now, and combine your 'lefty' with my shortie and come out the way you want. |
