Thanks Brainchild. I thought they were. They were on the truck when I got it. Gotta ove previous owners. I didnt think that 72 door panels could go on 71 or lower.

They would be '72 doors if there is a screw by the base of the wing window (only year they did this).

thats not a 72 door. i think that you can put a 72 regulator in a 67-72 door and then the 72 panel fits

Yup, just seems more likely that the door woulda been swapped out than some one taking the time to install a different regulator to install the incorrect (and fugly IMO) door panels.

Thanks

There is a screw right under the wing on the inside of the door on the 72's.Also the regulator stem is a little longer to compensate to the plastic door panels.
All this will swap into 67-71 doors though, you may have to drill holes for th plastic clips on the 72 door panels. Dad has a 72 with an earlier door on it,and all the 72 gear in it so I know it can be done. I agree, the plastic panels are fugly IMO.

Your Right
Absolutly correct.
Back when I first got into these trucks, the previous owner had done that and I always wondered way it was such a pain to get the handles on. |
