I think, uh, JC Whitney maybe, or Classic Industries has the vinyl / fabric ones, cause i been sorta looking for one, too. Aren't too expensive either. I THINK one of them had a hard cover, but I'm too lazy to go look. check out www.jcwhitney.com or www.classicindustries.com

Checkerpro makes a hard fiberglass cover for them as well. I have one on my S10 and its good for the $$ spent. I wanted it mainly b/c of the low profile, but now after 3 yrs the paint is cracking between the aluminum frame around the fiberglass. I paid extra to have the frame taken off and painted seperately, which aparently didnt happen. The BS I used is now out of business, so I'm stuck with it.

A guy I work with has a soft one off a '96 stepside that he ran on a '72 for a while. I'm gonna get it from him in the next few weeks. It has the rails that clamped onto the underside on the '96. He says he took some sheetmetal screws and just screwed it down onto the '72 and it worked good. I'm gonna try to figure a way to attach it through the stake pocket so I dont have to drill into my bed. Look for a thread in a few weeks to see how it works out.
