what are these hole for?

what are these holes on the inside for. it is a performer intake with egr

If you are talking about the carb mounting holes, I think that intake will accept a square bore and a spread bore carb.

Somebody got a little too "Happy" with a drill looks like.

BTW....they can be fixed.
Either tig them up or get a Alu brazing rod and use a small torch.

That Performer is #3701 isn't it? I have that same one, and the holes are their. Like someone else said, I believe it's either for EGR or Exhaust Heat Crossover.

My performer 454 tbi intake has the same holes. I asked them about it. And they said they had to put them there to get the CARB cert. I'm going to tap for aluminum pipe plugs. My guess is that only egr intakes have them.

I would try and smooth them out as best as possible to help the airflow path better.
