Step bumper for a stepside
I remember a LONG while back someone asked about the stepside version of the step bumper in LMC, and about a step bumper for a stepside period. I searched and didn't find it, so, where can I get a step bumper for my stepside?

my 78 came stock with the diamond plate step bumper. I replaced it with a chrome one. I also had to buy different rear brackets. I know the brackets for the step bumper are way different. I have the old bumper in my barn. Its in so-so shape. lmc truck does sell step bumpers.Looking at there catalog it doesnt mention stepside box.

thres a company that makes aftermarket bumpers. they are sold in catalogues and in the custom parts stores and if theres a stepside bumper available for your truck they will have it and the brackets. I have used these bumpers and found them to be as good or better than OEM. the company is called FEY. Im not sure if they have a web site or not but im sure if ya called the parts houses by you they can tell you where to get one

Mine has a step bumper on it from the dealership, i just curious about a new / different one. It's galvanized steel so its brown with rust but solid. I sanded and acid soaked it, then hit it with a few coats of "chrome" rustoleum, and it looks much better than before. I like the one in LMC for fleetsides that has backup lights built in, i remeber someone saying who made it and that a stepside version exhisted.
