Question Muncie

What's an Muncie M21 4 spd. worth? Saw one for sale but don't want to overpay.

A lot depends on the condition of the transmission. Around here they will go for $150-200 for rebuildable ones. Fresh rebuilts will go from $400-600.

I would strongly suggest that you pull the side cover before buying it just to make sure what the transmission is and whether there is any visible problems.
With the age of these transmissions and the interchange of parts I would not depend on just looking from the outside.

I paid $750 for a rebuilt M21. But we over spend on everything in California

Just for a little info, you can get a NEW Richmond 4 spd(Borg/Warner T 10), for around $1200......check Summit racing, or Jegs. Back in the day, i built more of those old muncies than I can count........they were $50 a pop, with no broken gears......another bill in parts, & you had a sweet box. IMO, they arent worth the cash......unless you are building a part match muscle car. 69L
