WTB gas caps for saddle tank

I lost one of my saddle tank gas caps. They are smaller than a normal gas cap. I have not been able to locate one at a parts store. Anyone have one or two.

you can contact Stant Manufacturing.. they produce radiator caps, locking or un-locking gas caps. Several years ago, I measured the diameter of the filler neck at the gas cap for the in-cab stock gas tank and also for the 2 under bed tanks.... Stant replied with the part numbers and the 3 caps were available all keyed alike !.... Take this info to most any auot parts dealer and they can order for you........Jim

s95930, you gas caps look like mine. I received a mesage from John Blommel (jblommel@stantinc.com) asking about the inner diameter and cam drpth. He said he can then recommend a replacement cap. Did you get and answer?

John Blommel of Stant said:

"The Stant replacement vented anti-surge fuel cap for a 1 3/8" ID shallow cam filler neck is boxed 10646 or carded 11646 cap. This is slightly smaller than 1.4 inches but is the closest part we offer. You can find the 11646 cap at any Pep Boys or Advance Auto parts store".

Guess I will truck on over there.

The cap on my truck is 1 3/4 inch inside diameter. Stant advised me they do not make a cap that size.

So anyone have some used ones out there here are some more pictures.

The Stant 10646 does not fit. It may fit the neck, but the clearance is so tight that the ears and the outside diameter of the cap prevent the cap from even getting near the neck.

Anybody got any ideas? The OD of mine is 1.75 inches and the ID is 1.4 inches.

Looked at a 68 CVamper Special for sale in Daytona yesterday afternoon that had two aux tanks. These tanks had the fill just forward of the wheels. THe neck on those tanks was two inches. One was missing and the tank was full of dirt.

Will keep looking. Let you know if I find any.
