Booster Rod
Can you adjust the rod distance from the booster without having to disconnect the master cylinder?

if you are talking power brakes, i think the one under the master cylinder is the only adjustment. You don't need to disconnect the lines, just the two 9/16 nuts and pull the master cylinder away. The lines will give you enough room.

Your brake pedal should touch the rubber bumper under dash and have a little free motion when you go to apply the brakes.

Brakes Update:
I replaced the master cylinder. I bench bled it. I didnt have time to bleed the entire system but there is some improvement. I am going to bleed the system tomorrow and I will let you guys know what happens. Thanks
