'59 instrument cluster - before and after
Here's how I spent the day after Thanksgiving...
The insert and gauges are from Brothers, the instruments are AutoMeter Arctic White gauges, Brothers insert comes with oil pressure, temp, voltmeter, and fuel, all size 2 1/16", and a Speedometer. I bought a matching 2 1/16" tach and 2 1/16" quartz clock from my local Auto Masters store, and took the voltmeter out of the insert, and replaced it with the tach, and then intalled the voltmeter and clock above my radio in the dash. Finally accurate readings on the new 350, instead of the old style needle and hash marks. Before and After:

Looks great! I really like where you put your extra gauges.
This seems to be a problem with these trucks if you want more than 5 and do not want to go digital. I was pondering using a goat or firechicken hood tach. I will have to see what that looks like when I get closer to that phase. Then theres the question of the bag gauges...??? I dont know if there even available in white, much less with matching pointers. |
