What is this truck worth (87 short step 4x4 w/ 350)?

Hey ya'll,

I'm from the 67-72 side of things but my buddy owns an 87 chevy. He's ready to sell it but needs an asking price. Anyway, what is it worth?

87 Chevy short bed stepside 4x4 w/ 170,000 miles on the body
1992 350 out of a camaro (this thing runs strong and fast) 80,000 miles
he has the original engine in the shed out back
700r4 trans
AC (still works good)
31 Penn 50/15
original wheels
3.73 rears

It has all of the rust you would expect from this model year truck but the paint is still passable and it looks good driving down the road. He is a meticulous and skilled mechanic so the thing runs strong. Also, he ain't a kid so he hasn't been burning patches all over town (but he could).

Anyway, any help is appreciated.

i'd think i speak for everyone on this one.....you'd probably have to post a pic or two.....around here in west virginia, sounds like maybe a $2k truck...with the usual rust places that is....need pics for a more accurate amateur appraisal...
