What do you plan on getting done.....

What do you guys and gals plan on getting done this weekend.....
Yesterday I managed to get a few things done...

installed license plate light
installed tailgate supports
installed taillights and wireing
rear splash aprons
bedside support rods
got the bed bolted down
cleaned and vaccumed the inside
installed the cigarette lighter
installed and wired the dome light
removed the clutch pedal (automatic now)
fixed fuel leak
mounted tranny dipstick brace to bell housing.

Just need to get the damn starter wireing sorted out.....

I`m just down the road from you and know the feeling....I had a few
things to do as well.
Yesterday I pulled the tilt out to rebuild, pulled the dash cluster, swapped rocker box caps, and installed a flywheel cover. I had huge plans having four days off.

Yesterday i finally got the lights working,(ground and a bad signal switch),got the hood hinge back on after the heater core swap. Then i found out i have a bad brake caliper on the driver side,so i am going after a new one and get it on today along with the hood and tie up a few wires then i should be ready for a test drive and inspection.I cant wait to get this thing on the road,i am tired off not haveing a truck to drive. It aint pretty but i have a few things i will do to it after i get it on the road like seats dash and pad, things like that.Probably never will paint it because it is going to be my daily and work truck at the same time.

Bought Muncie 4 spd and picked it up. Put heat shield around starter but still turns slow when hot. Engine builder put 195 degree thermostat in. I need to change water outlet on intake to one with a hole for temp sending unit so think I will change to 160 degree thermostat and see if that helps my hot start prob. Started cleaning out garage so I can hopefully get truck inside to work on it.

I started this on thanksgiving day and finished it today. At the begibibg I just want to put the recovery thank but I didn't feel to place it on old looking inner fender therefore I removed the hole thing, sand it, applied rust inhibitor and then painted. Looks good to me.

Well Friday I bought the $98 Pioneer CD Deck and 4 speakers from Wal-Mart and installed the CD player. Friday night I tried to figure out why my starter wouldn't turn over or click or anything at all, and this morning I installed the new one. Another $80 of unexpected costs thrown into the money pit, but at least the truck starts like a champ now... and I've got tunes!

I had planned to get mine driveable this wknd, but I sent the carb out for rebuilding 3 weeks ago, the latest lie I was told was that it would be ready on Friday. No such luck and not ready today, the shop is not open tomorrow, so I guess the truck will sit for another wknd. I'm starting to get pretty frustrated mainly because it's something I can't control.

I got to clean the Rocker Arm assemblies! Great fun. Every single oil passage was completely plugged. Even the shafts were all plugged up. Blech. I'm probably an hour from being finished, then it's re-assembly time. Hopefull I'll have it done by the time the intake manifold repair is complete, then I get to install everything and (finally!) have my truck on the road.

Oh, and work on the house. So many projects...

John
