DANA 44 Front axle problem
Does anyone know if a dana 44 front axle has c-locks holding the axles in? If so, how do you remove the front axle. If not, will the axle just pull out? It doesn't have a lock screw holding the pinion shaft in, it is a roll pin, or what looks to be a roll pin. Has anyone pulled the axles out? Help needed!

The axleshafts are not held by c-clips as the rear axles are. To remove them you have to take off the hub/rotor assembly and then they just slide out.

Yep, I forgot to mention the spindle. The spindle can be a PITA to remove. I have a slide hammer type puller that I use to pull it off. AutoZone may rent the pullers.
