Original Speaker?

Any ideas where I could obtain an original replacement speaker for my 1969 GMC pickup? Putter was kind enough to send me an original radio, so I'm looking for an OEM speaker to match it & install...thanks! Bud

Yeah, I looked at the various catalogs I have- they obviously cater to stereo radios, whereas I have the mono speaker. I guess, if all else fails, I could tie the stereo versions together & go mono- just trying to stay "plug 'n' play"....

GMC speaker

I have a 1969 GMC that may still have the original speaker. I'm not going back stock, I got 2 twelves behind the seat and wont need the original. I'll check it tomorrow if you're interested.

pickupman, will one fit/bolt up in the original position? I don't see the side bracket on the pic...?

modifiedGMC, if yours is the original (like mine), it may be in the same shape- dried & cracked- but if it's still good & supple, yes, let me know, please

Yes it will work in the original position and uses the original bracket. It just slips onto the speaker.

The one pickupman is showing fits just as original, I used one to replace my speaker a couple of years ago. The original bracket simply slides over the magnet and bolts to the inner cowl.
