Fleet

man i can't beleive it ,i went to a local salvage yard here in houston to look at a swb fleetbed and i come back in to the counter and the guy looks at me and says 1500 dollars ,so i'm thinking he means the whole truck .i say no just the bed ,he seriously wants that for just the bed ,on top of that there is nothing but the sides and headboard the rest is rusted .am i crazy or is this a good price .

WAYYYYY to high considering theres a complete running driving 64 swb here in town for sale for $1600 lol. Amazing what some people will try to charge.

Bigpimp, If you know where Paris tx is, just look across the river to Tom Okla, there is a whole pickup sitting 2miles west, one mile south, big back window. It does have all the rust in all the right places, but has a sw fleet. Just ask around, it can be bought cheep.

They are out there. I just picked up a free almost complete 61 chevy 3/4 ton 4WD Saturday. It has a newer hood, stepside bed, lift and bigger tires. The guy kept the 350 motor and just wanted the rest of the truck gone. The thing looks prety good, could probubly throw the 350 I have sitting in the shop in it and drive the thing... going to be a shame to cut it up for my project truck.
