Rear end swap

I tried to ask this on 60-66 board but there is no traffic over there so I thought I would try here. Can you put a 69 C10 12 bolt coil spring rear end in a 62 truck. Is it just a swap.

I havent done the swap, but my guess is both trail arm trucks, it should fit.....you may have to modify the track locator arm/brackets tho. best of luck, crazyL

Like crazy al, I have never done it myself, but from what I hear, it's a direct swap.

You're going to have to modify the track bar I believe.

The early trucks had the track bar mount differently than the later ones did.

IRONBUTTLCMC here did that swap and ran into that issue. Send him a PM with your question. He's a real nice guy.

flip66, could you post what you learn on here? I'm also looking at doing this on a '62. I was told '60-'62 is different, but I don't know if this is true.
