72 Air Filter

Fram says CA326 for stock air filter but it don't fit. Too tall. What gives?

Did you make sure that it's a stock Air cleaner? These things get swapped out all of the time. I don't know what kind of auto parts suppliers you have in Italy but I would bring the old air filter with you and they should be able to match one up for you.

I'm pretty sure it is the stock one, truck is very unmolested. Yeah, I will go tomorrow and size a correct one from Fram or Fiaam. Just seems strange though. The filter on the truck now is about .5" shorter.

One thing to add, if you can get another brand than fram, do it. I can prove there oil filters are junk, and I asume there air filters are too.

I finally had time today to look at this and the filter in there now is 12" round by 2 1/4" (approx). Very strange. Could this be a six banger filter assembly? I will pos a picture tomorrow of the housing.
