Keep it or dump it

Hi to everybody,
My space is very limitted therefore I have to get rid of the things that I don't see any use for them in near future. This is the old intake that I took off my 350 when I put new intake and carb. Does it worth anything to keep it? Thanks for inputs. Nima

Try to sell it first.
There are always some people wanting to do a restoration back to original. And this may be the part they need.
I know I sold a 2 barrel carb for just this reason.

put it in the box that your new intake came in and slide it under the bed.
Storage problem solved.
That's where I keep my tow bar.

That is early model intake also,it has the oil filler in the front. If it uses the big pattern carb it's most likely off of a 327

YES BY ALL MEANS... SELL IT. YOU CAN PROBABLY GET $6 TO $8 FOR IT, BUT IF YOU HAVE TO SHIP IT, IT WILL PROBABLY COST $25 JOHN

tip for ya, around here the circle track guys in some classes are required to run a stock cast iron 2 barrel intake & carb. & so many of these have ended up as scrap metal.

Junkyardjohn is correct. Not worth much.
HOWEVER! You could look at it like you would help someone out (ebay) that is trying to do a perfect restoration. So if you feel like helping someone out, sell it cheep. If that does not sound like it's worth your time, trash it.

Just let me know if somebody wants it. I don't charge anything for it but that would be nice if they donate some money to this board instead, which is a great site. Ofcourse they have to pay for shipping. This is just an idea.

I wasn't trying to sell that 2 barrel carb mind you. Somebody on the parts board was asking for it. Therefore I didn't waste any of my time at all. It was sitting in a box in my garage just collecting dust when all of a sudden another board member needed it. I've still got the 2 barrel intake manifold off of my 70 malibu. Somebody might need it for that "perfect" restoration and pay good money for it.
The more they are just "thrown away", the harder they are the find, and therefore the more they are worth.
Just my .02

I meant no flame by my comment. I just was trying to imply....it wasn't worth much. I never want to flame anyone on this board, as it is so valuable to everyone. I guess I enjoy giving things away rather than selling them...within reason...no you can't have my truck LOL. I have given away two bench seats both in great shape, an original tailgate, also gave away a perfect condition in cab gas tank, and am considering giving away a short wide bed to someone who really needs one but cant's afford to buy one...just the way I am.

You wouldn't happen to have a 12 bolt posi carrier that you're wanting to donate would you? I need a posi for my 3.73 ring and pinion that I'm going to put in my truck.
