My truck hates me.

I installed my new Hooker (BBC Chevelle)headers today & built a new tube trans x-member for head pipe clearance, only to find out the column shift linkage is a no go. Hmmm console & shifter now? Every time I can check something off my list I get to write something new on the bottom of the list. sheesh..corn

Wow i know this problem almost first hand. I helped my neighbor 3 doors down (ha ha literally) put a 350 out of a chevelle and put it and the tranny into a 84 GMC c1500. He had to go to a floor shifter. His problem was something in the motor though, but it was a pain. But ooo that baby is fine.

I bought a cross member kit from summit but all I ended up using was the tube. The bracket & tabs wouldnt work for me. I wish I would have just bent one up myself & saved the coin...corn
