hey 69, have fun trying to run it out the side with the leafs there in the way. I cussed so much doing that on my first Longhorn that I ended up ripping up what little I fabbed and just said f*ck it.

I was wrong about Flowmasters!
Well, for about 8 months, i have had 2.5" exhaust on my truck, with 40 series Flowmasters for mufflers. The system ended at the mufflers, just above and infront of the rear axle, with some 4" long or so turndowns clamped to the muffler's outlet. It wasn't really loud, but had a nice deep rumble. That is why i had been telling people that the 40 seires muffs weren't that obnixious. Me and one of my friends got bored, and decided to take off the turndowns. They were stuck, so we heated them up and yanked them off. I turned over the key, and it sounded completely different. Now, it is more of a deep roar than a quiet rumble. It has alot of reasonance inside the cab when i drive down the highway, and it will almost hurt my ears at 1500 rpm! I love it .

You better put them back on ,for you dont get into trouble!!! I just finished the system on the longhorn.....all but tail pipes. Cranked it up.....d@mn,I put some turndowns on right away! I plan a side exit ahead of the wheels, when I find the 2 1/2" mandral bends that I need.....69

Well, the cops in my town are pretty easy on loud exhaust. It is a small town, and just about every kid has pipes on their truck, and mine isn't the loudest. Mine is one of the best sounding now . I doubt i will get in any trouble, but if i do they are going back on.
